I wanted to share some photos from literacy night at Alexander's school Thursday night. I shared below the pumpkin I made for his class- had to be a book character. Here are some of the pumpkins from other classes we saw at the literacy night. I know I spent a lot of time looking for ideas online so I figure maybe sharing more ideas here will help someone else too! tfl!

Snoopy, Luke's Birthday.

This week has already been a busy one with lots more excitement to come- a double date with my brother and his wife, a Stephen Curtis Chapman concert, a trip to a pumpkin farm, Halloween, and Audrey's Birthday on Monday!!! Love it!

First, I have to share what I spent a lot of my day doing. My son's school is having literacy night at school tomorrow- lots of games, fun, etc. One of the things they do each year is have each class take a pumpkin and create a favorite children's book character with it! This was a short turn around project (I picked up the pumpkin Tuesday and started on it this morning). I got an idea to make Snoopy, the flying ace. It was truly a labor of love, but here's how our little snoopy pumpkin turned out~

Also, my little nephew, Luke, turned 3 yesterday! Happy Birthday little guy!~ We had a party for him earlier this week and it was so fun having all the cousins together:

Some pics of the kids

Alexander recently joined the cub scouts - they all went to the zoo recently:

and Alexander's class had "career day" aka what I want to be when I grow up... they had to dress up and Alexander wanted to be a police officer- he was hilarious before school- maybe a bit Barney Fife! ha!

Cute as a button!!!

I love this acrylic stamping kit from 3 Birds Designs- it is SO cute- it's called Cute as a Button (hee).

Here's a look at the Cute as a Button stamp kit:

In this kit you will receive:

* Clear acrylic storage box
* 18 2" x 2" acrylic stamp sheets
* Acrylic stamp block
* 2 1" pigment ink pads
* 240 assorted buttons
* Color idea sheet

some of the stamps:

Here are some cards I made using the stamp and button set. I love how you can make a whole bunch of simple cards to give as a card set. Or, you can go all out for a really special card!

Hope this gives you some ideas, Charity
